Yes — this is called partial arming or a "stay" mode. The panel is zoned so living areas, hallways, and external doors arm at night while sleeping areas are bypassed. Modern panels (Paradox, Ajax, Bosch, Inner Range) make this straightforward and we set it up during commissioning so you can use the right mode without thinking about which sensors are which.
Cheap cameras corrode quickly within a kilometre of the coast. We specify cameras with at least IP66 weather rating and use marine-grade brackets and stainless screws on coastal Mairangi Bay sites. Powder-coated housings hold up better than bare aluminium. For beachfront properties on Beach Road or Sidmouth we recommend a yearly rinse-down on visible cameras during scheduled maintenance.
